We’re celebrating Women’s History Month by honoring some of our favorite female bloggers every Wednesday this month. This week I’ve selected some of my favorite inspirational bloggers. While I believe every PF blogger is cheering their readers to financial freedom, these bloggers are the ones I recommend when you need an extra dose of motivation.
Laurie at The Frugal Farmer began her journey to financial freedom in January 2013. I love how honest she is about the ups and downs of getting out of debt. It isn’t easy, but Laurie does it with grace and good humor. Even on days when she’s struggling, Laurie finds a way to inspire and motivate others. You can follow Laurie on twitter and learn more about her at The Frugal Farmer.
Wendy at Girl Meets Debt paid off more than $18k in debt last year. That’s right—$18,000. Woot! Woot! Her blog is fun and witty, just like I imagine her to be in real life. She is not afraid to be herself, even when others make “helpful” suggestions. I always look forward to reading Wendy’s blog. You can follow Wendy on twitter and learn more about her at Girl Meets Debt.
Hayley at Disease Called Debt is a relatively new blog to me but I love Hayley’s can-do attitude. She and her husband are working hard to get rid of their debt together. She knows firsthand the weight of debt, but also the lightness that comes with every dollar (or pound in her case) of debt she and her husband eliminate. You can follow Hayley on twitter and learn more about her at Disease Called Debt.
Shannon at Financially Blonde is also a new blog to me and the wonderful hostess of Women Empowerment Wednesday. And yes, we are two different people, even though we have the same name, profession and many similar beliefs. We even have a child the same age! 🙂 She brings a lot of positive energy to the personal finance community, along with great advice and experience. I particularly enjoy her Music Mondays where she combines some of her favorite songs with finance. You can follow Shannon on twitter and learn more about her at Financially Blonde.
Next week, concludes the Women Empowerment Series and I’ll introduce you to some more amazing female bloggers. It’s so hard because there are so many fantastic bloggers, both male and female. I love how this series has introduced me (and hopefully you as well) to so many new faces.
The Heavy Purse Store is now open! My new downloadable Money Club Workbooks are now on sale. Each workbook provides five targeted lessons to help you raise Financially Confident Kids. Please check them out in The Heavy Purse Store.
I'll definitely be checking them out.
Happy Wednesday Shannon! I hope all is well :).
