Blog Round-Up: Week of January 19, 2015

I hope those who enjoyed a 3-day holiday weekend did so. I certainly enjoyed a shorter work week. šŸ™‚ Plus, I’m just happy that everyone is healthy again. The cold and flu bug ran through the Ryan household after Christmas as it did it so many families. Fortunately, we haven’t been affected by the measles, which is causing problems in Southern California and spreading, so be on the lookout.

Blog Round-Up: Week of January 12, 2015

It’s been another busy, but good week for me. It always seems to take a moment or two to get back up-to-speed after a break. As I was organizing my calendar for next week, I realized that we’re already at the mid-point of January, which doesn’t seem possible. And many of us are headed into a long holiday weekend, which I’m certainly looking forward to enjoying.

Blog Round-Up: Week of December 8, 2014

We are now officially less than two weeks away from Christmas. Are you ready? I can’t believe how quickly December is flying by. Of course, the fact that it also seems like it is the busiest month of the year probably plays a role! It seems like there is something happening almost every day. We also celebrate Taylor’s birthday at the end of the month, so that’s another big celebration

Blog Round-Up: Week of December 1, 2014

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and got a chance to relax before the hustle and bustle of Christmas begins. We experienced our first big winter storm of the season in Southern California this week. We truly needed the rain so it was most welcome, although the gloomy days are always hard to adjust to when you’re used to blue skies and sunshine. And yes, rain equates winter here

Last weekend we held Lauren’s birthday party. She is now 11 years old, which I believe makes her an official tween. I’m not sure if I’m ready to be a Mom to a tween! šŸ™‚ Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? I’m enjoying a little R&R over the holiday, so I’m more than ready. How about you? I hope everyone has a little rest and relaxation planned over the

Blog Round-Up: Week of November 3, 2014

Last Friday, we enjoyed Halloween and girls were able to score enough candy until Santa Claus visits next month. šŸ™‚ I am a trustee on the Little Company of Mary Foundation board and we held our Sellabration Gala last Saturday. It was an amazing event. I am so grateful for the privilege to give back and help raise money for such a worthy organization and cause. It was a lot

Blog Round-Up: Week of October 27, 2014

Happy Halloween! Here we are on the last day of October already. The girls are ready to go trick or treating tonight. They are dressing up as Maleficent and a vampire. No more princesses for my girls. I am admittedly biased, but they look great! Do you have big plans for tonight? The girls still “permit” us to go trick or treating with them, so I’m enjoying that for as

Blog Roundup: Week of October 20, 2014

I foolishly thought October would be a bit of a catch-my-breath month as September was hectic and soon the holiday season will upon us. And here we are heading into the last week of October and I’m wondering where the time went. But I can’t complain. My days are full and so good. My plate may overflow, but I love everything on it. #blessed.

Blog Round-Up: Week of October 13, 2014

I can’t believe we’ve already reached the mid-point of October. We’re flying through Fall. Do you want to hear something scary? We’re less than 70 days away from Christmas! Sometimes I think it sneaks up on us because the stores put the decorations out so early. We roll our eyes and think we have months to figure out our holiday budget. Then we’re suddenly counting down the days.
